“LIGHT FROM LANGUAGE” - ENGLISH TUTORS FOR BLIND CHILDREN AND ADULTS IN NGUYEN DINH CHIEU SCHOOL IN HA NOI - VIET NAM

SJ Vietnam

With warmest regards

Thank you very much for your kind attention and we hope to have your support to the grant.

Simple but praiseworthy dreams like any normal children, “I strive to study to have a chance of being a university student one day.” – “Music is my dream and my future” – “My dream is to have a stable work for my independent living”, the visually impaired children in NguyenDinhChieuSchool cross their fingers day by day. Understanding the right and praiseworthy dreams of blind children with great determination, SJ Vietnam has put huge efforts in “Light from Language Project” – English tutors for blind children and adults in NguyenDinhChieuSchool to bring light of knowledge to support social integration of the laudable people during the last four years. We understand that education is an effective bridge to connect people with disabilities and the surrounding community. NguyenDinhChieuSchool and We therefore cooperate to keep their educational process continuous. Unfortunately, fund for their summer education is not available because the school has not received any donation until now. That will cause big disadvantages for blind kids because their educational efforts are interrupted. If so, how can they catch up with normal students when the new school year starts at September? They must work harder, but there seems no more free time during semesters because they not only study academic programs but vocational training courses as well. Thereupon, SJ Vietnam strongly calls for a financial packet of $1,000 to support NguyenDinhChieuSchool to hire teachers and provide meals for about 30 blind children during their summer education period. Be with us to lighten the life of the visually-impaired students via light of knowledge! Hope to receive your support before June.
